About This Station
KPBS-FM has set up its transmitter on San Miguel Mountain in southwestern San Diego County. As a non-commercial public radio, it is locally affiliated with NPR. This radio station is broadcasting news and public affairs in San Diego. They were on the air in 1960 with the name KEBS at that time. And they became KPBS-FM 89.5 in 1970.
